Socratis is an Economist (graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science) and a Fellow Chartered Accountant. He is also an Approved Mediator (Conflict Resolution) and Insolvency Practitioner.
Socratis has managed to achieve notable experience in Cyprus and abroad, this ranging from business consultation to Healthcare management and control and investment advice. At the beginning of his career, he worked for 4 years at Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants (London) dealing with audit, insolvency and investigations. He then served as Financial Controller at General Insurance Company of Cyprus for a period of 3 years, before starting his own practice with two friends, providing business and investment advice. Between 2008 and 2013, for 5 and a half years, he served as Managing Director of “Ygia Polyclinic” Private Hospital, where he added considerable value and contributed to the creation of a success story in the hospital (among others, the acquisition of the International Hospital Accreditation, the enhancement of the quality of the Hospital’s services and a major long term contract between the Hospital and the British Bases in Cyprus).
Socratis has also been the co-founder and/or manager of numerous companies dealing with investment and business consulting services, stockbroking, portfolio management, investment banking and accounting.
He is the author of various economic, political and social articles, as well as two books.
At Revita, the Company which he founded in 2003 and has been managing as a CEO in its new form since 2014, Socratis offers his experience in assisting organisations and individuals facing financial difficulties to recover. He also specialises in mediation services, business consulting and business support services, as well as advising business owners on various executive issues.
He has held various Director posts in companies and non-for-profit organisations.
